Darkrad returns to audiophob with a celebration release for the project’s 13th anniversary. The box set “13 Years of Melancholia” contains a CD with new material, concert lives and remixes from Mandelbrot, Aphexia, Chaotalion, Anatoly Grinberg and Alarmen, as well as a joint track with Flint Glass. Furthermore you’ll find a 7” single with two additional brand new tracks and a set of artwork prints.
Like its three predecessors “Hyperakusis IV” contains a well selected collection of new and exclusive tracks of projects of the current audiophob lineup. All in all twelve pieces showcase the range of music, our label covers, from sinister dark ambient soundscapes up to impulsive technoid rhythms of Sphercial Disrupted, Axiome, Gamlaskatten, Mortaja, Wesenberg, Mandelbrot, Alarmen, Autoclav1.1 and Darkrad.
Beware of aliens, that are nothing else than enemies or foes rather than allies or enemies! This release is wrapped around vocoded voices in electro tunes – but not your classic ones – and a lot of humour. Black humour that is, that helps us to cope with a dystopian but also surreal future, or better said, one of the many futures offered to us.
"Voltage" is the debut album and follow up to the well received "Brutalism" EP (auphnet024). Using the momentum, this release is straight and aimed directly to the club floors. On his latest album (the follow up to 2020s “Nothing Outside”), Tony Young (Autoclav1.1) presents, over the course of ten tracks, a story that befits the world that we currently reside in. Through the medium of emotive electronics, paranoid beats, piano harmonies organic instrumentation and orchestral juxtapositions, Young tells a tale of humankinds’ apathy to the current climate crisis that we are simply oblivious to, or ultimately ignoring.
With “Counterclockwise”, Krischan Jan-Eric Wesenberg returns for his 2nd album release under the “Wesenberg” moniker to audiophob. While both releases revolve around the pervasive presence of the past, the new works don't just reference memorable locations as “Third Places” (auphcd028) did. Instead, the 13 tracks evolve around the idea, that every experience from the past reflects and modulates the present as well as the future. On some of the tracks, the seeds were provided by guest musicians, in particular Yuma Hampejs, Eli van Vegas, Sola Plexus, Stolzenfelz and Liss Eulenherz, which for themselves were able to influence the overall feeling of the album.

The double CD "25 (Past)" is filled with new versions, compilation appearances and remixes for other projects (Bloody Dead And Sexy, Experimentum Crucis, Yipotash, The Trial, KiEw, Mimetic Dancing, The_Empath, Xabec, Mandelbrot, Still Patient?) from those 25 years. Most of these tracks are available on CD for the first time or are either unpublished or long out of stock.

So far, all Rendered releases made the way in the world on vinyl, published on such well known labels as Aufnahme+Wiedergabe, Fleisch, Body Theory or Omen Recordings. The present release of “STONECOLDSOUL” marks the first time those recordings appear on CD. With the addition of two previously unreleased tracks, this makes up more than one hour of sinister, powerful and last but not least very danceable sound.
With his first full album in two years, Autoclav1.1 returns with the emotionally charged ‘Nothing Outside’. Over the course of ten tracks, Tony Young presents an engaging mix of styles that combine new and old, into a soul searching emotive exploration of solitude, social awareness; and ultimately, self-analysis.
Once again the sound of Alarmen is a fragile balance between clean melodies, layered soundscapes and subtle rhythms that tend to disintegrate over time. The long awaited 3rd full time album of Alarmen features 8 tracks that have been recorded between 2017 and 2019.
Technoid arrangements, deep basses and a living surface area make up the neuro-active impression that is conceivable over the entire span of the album. While "Whatever You Want" (auphcd025) was a retrospective view over the last decade, the successor "Fortes Fortuna Adiuvat" seems to have a coverage more than twice as large.
The third edition of the label compilation series “Hyperakusis” once again aims to give an overview of the current audiophob artist roster. While the release is certainly addressed to listeners who aren’t familiar with the whole spectrum of audiophobs music, it only contains exclusive tracks, so it is also interesting for loyal followers of the artists.
The eleven tracks of "Zeitsprung" translate the emotional impact and the captivating nature of fairy tales into the own acoustic world of Mandelbrot.
“Third Places” evolves around a social concept defining the home as the first and work as the second place, while places of social interaction comprise as third places. Providing dark technoid and minimal sounds that sometimes drift into ambient or even acid, the album creates a club like atmosphere where the listener is welcomed as a regular, still able to get in touch with the new.
The third CD release of Mortaja called “Combined Minds” is a proof of the steady evolution of Bert Lehmanns musical work. Leaving the more calmer side of its output to his “Torn From Beyond” moniker, Mortaja now is able to be as powerful on CD as during the last live appearances of the project. Danceable electronic sequences, highly influenced by EBM as well as Techno, shape the overall atmosphere of the album. The sound of Mortaja can now be found in a world between Monolith and Thomas P. Heckmann, leaving enough room to stand for its own.
Jana Komaritsa presents the new album of her project Darkrad – Heart Murmur. With this album she continues the theme of inner blackness and disturbances of mind, weaving the canvas of ominous world. The album includes bonus tracks: compilation contributions and former tape releases, partially in new versions, as well as remixes from Flint Glass and Mortaja.
The project The Negativity Bias works as an emotional bridge between artist and listener. Warm Deep House structures are combined with cold effects known from the Industrial/Noise sector. Rhythm, sound design and final mastering are transmitting nothing but void - "Whatever You Want" focuses on the listener.
"Periapsis" is once again a concept work about an astronomical phenomenon. This time the work is based on the twin star system Eta Carinae, which is one of the biggest high-mass and as well in many other aspects very extraordinary constellations of our galaxy. Music wise the bandwith is once again defined between dark ambient passages and rhythms and basslines which are more correlated with EBM or acid but used here in a slowed down way.
The CD release includes all tracks from the tape version, completed by a number of bonus tracks: The name-giving track "Little Black World" is here released for the first time; followed by the tracks from Darkrads second tape "Die In Eclipse" and two tracks from download compilations. The CD concludes with two unreleased remixes, provided by Dirk Geiger and Spherical Disrupted.
The optical effects of a kaleidoscope resemble the musical style of Mandelbrot on this new release in quite a good way: While discovering the beauty of sometimes repeating patterns, you soon realize that everything is in flow and will never return to the current state again. Sometimes the tracks build up to cluttered and chaotic moments, only to suddenly transform into order and harmony. Each of the ten tracks combine atmospheric to melodic synthesized sounds with slightly rhythmic noise patterns and recordings to create unique dark ambient works.
"Bone Chamber" is the second full time album of Mortaja and once again the project is able to capture the listener with his deep and meditative sounds. Expect again dark and melodic ambient with complex rhythms somewhere between old Delerium, Ah Cama-Sotz and the like.

To celebrate the 10 anniversary of 2kilos &More, Audiophob presents a new aspect of the project on a double CD release. The first CD of this set contains live recordings of tracks from the previous releases as well as an unreleased remix made by the band for Rapoon. The second part of the release features new approaches to the 2kilos &More sound as provided by the remixes from a remarkable selection of artists.
Using samples and digital sounds, the french duo 2kilo &More composes by improvising on long evolving sound waves. They shape every song like a journey through sonic universe, playing with tension and surges punctuated by instrumental interventions (guitars for Séverine or drums for Hugues), often reminding us of the cinematographic world of David Lynch or Steven Soderbergh (Solaris).
Seeing the Russian cinematic classic "Dead Man's Letters" for the first time as a 13 year old was a significant influence for Ronny Herling (Tardive Dyskinesia). With those impressions in mind, "The Letter" approaches to transform everyday scenes and experiences into a musical score. The result of this transformation are nine pieces of nightmarish soundscapes, including a remix by Heimstatt Yipotash.
"Distant Travellers" - the latest album of B. Teichner and P. Muench a.k.a. Mandelbrot - is following the paths the duo was paving on their last CD releases on audiophob. Each of the ten tracks picks up the general atmosphere Mandelbrot is known for and moves it at least one or two galaxies further.
"Drown in Blood", the debut release of Mortaja, is without a doubt the darkest release on audiophob up to this point. Nervertheless it is definitely worth listening as it features lots of well produced and unique atmospheres.
This is the first Skalpell album in five years and it's been worth the wait! Skalpell offer 76 minutes of ambient that is not shy to show influences from either noise or tribal-ritual.

Beinhaus is industrial music for metal drums, voice and electronics. Beinhaus gives the electronic music a sweatening body back. The intense performance has its roots in Old-School-Industrial. Drums made of metal, plastic and stone meets powertools like hammers and angle grinders. Embedded in hard electronic beats and sounds which poach recklessly through different music styles like breakbeat, dubstep, German schlager or workers protest songs.
Side project of Spherical Disrupted. No beats, no melodies, but haunting and gloomy noises between quiet and loud. The album debut contains five previously released compilation and download tracks in new versions plus two completely new tracks.

Chaotalion is perhaps the most eccentric spawn and the actual main project of musician and sound artist Alexander Marco who has been in the spotlight for quite a while with the more danceable sound of his Industrial Fusion project SaturmZlide.
Dark, poetic, dreamy deep and melancholic. Hybrid structures in fragments of chaos. Some time has passed since the last stop of these two human soul engineers. And that is the main source of motivation and sound structures that the project conquered and decomposed into its current form.
Eardrops builds images for the inner mind, taking the listener away from daily life into unknown territories. Although the music has a peaceful atmosphere at first glance, delicate layers in the deep evoke feelings of something dark and unsettling.

From far Nalchik we got this talented artist by the real name Zalim Bekulov, whose Caucasian roots and Russian nature armed him with both unusual producer perceptions and creative breakings of all kinds of dark styles that this artist is creating. In his sound visions, Zalim distributes his production loops into the waters of industrial down tempo trip hop or ambient.
The sweet cake and well-scented coffee attracted countless known members of the experimental music scene like Thorofon, Philipp Münch, Hypnoskull, Beinhaus, Capsular, Killer as well as underground poets like Lütfiye Güzel.

The musical output of Bert Lehmann has been at an astonishing high level of quality since he first presented his tracks to us at audiophob under his moniker “Mortaja”. Since then he developed his style in quite diverse directions while maintaining the high quality and quantity of his work. This diversity was the main reason to split up his activities and present the more quieter side of his creativity under a new name: “Torn From Beyond” will from now on be the home for his dark, atmospheric sounds in the vein of New Risen, Throne or Raison d’Être. The album “If The View Freezes” demonstrates this side of Berts work in an excellent manner, the term “side project” doesn’t seem to do justice at all.
Hypnotic signals will take you to the sacral corners of melancholic sanctuaries. Industrial blocks dusted with the dust of chaos. The story of good and evil in the bowels of the modern world.
